This Season's finale is a wonderful tightly-scripted 1940's film noir, starring Dana Andrews as the detective assigned to investigate the murder of the mysterious Laura (Gene Tierney). As he interviews her family and associates, he becomes mesmerised by her portrait, gradually developing a dangerous obsession for the dead woman, leading to conflict with her smooth-talking fiance (Vincent Price). |
