Synopsis:

Writer/director/star Roberto Begnini is Guido, a Jewish waiter and clown in Mussolini's Italy, whose idyllic lifestyle is brought to an abrupt halt when he is sent to a Nazi concentration camp, but in an attempt to save his son and non-Jewish wife he still manages to find comic situations in the face of the final solution.
