Synopsis:

This classic weepie is the cinematic equivalent of a Vienese waltz: sweet, sad and romantic. Cynical concert pianist (Louis Jourdan), receives a letter from a dying woman (Joan Fontaine), who claims , to be his former lover. Unfortunately, Jourdan has had so many half-remembered loves that he can't even recall Fontaine, and is unaware that he has influenced her entire life.
