Synopsis:

Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger directed, reputedly, the best film ever made about ballet in which young dancer Moira Shearer is torn between impresario Anton Walbrook and composer Marius Goring. The dancing of Leonide Massine and Ludmilla Tcherina, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Robert Helpmann's choreography and Jack Cardiff's photography make this colourful kaleidoscope also the most stylish fairy tale.
