Synopsis:

Directed by Idrissa Ouedraogo, this stunning example of African cinema, set in the scorched desert landscape of Burkina Faso, won the Grand Jury prize at Cannes in 1990. After two year's absence, Saga returns to his home village only to find that the woman to whom he was promised is married to his father; if they now make love it will be incest - a capital offence according to "The Law".
