Each Club Season consists of members' requests. Unfortunately, they can't all be included. In our Christmas raffle, Isabelle Mamet won the prize of having a film of her choice selected. She chose this splendid CinemaScope collaboration between Robert Redford and director Sydney Pollack that pre-dates 'Dances with Wolves' by nearly 20 years. Magnificent location photography enhances an atmospheric tale of an ex-soldier who gives up his city life to experience the wilderness of the Rockies, but is ill prepared for the challenges that nature throws at him, including wolves, indians and lotsof snow ! |
