Director Martin Scorsese is bang'on target with this epic of 30 years with the Mafia which grips from start to finish. Ray Liotta plays true life Robert Henry Bill, who gets involved with Robert de Niro and Oscar-winning. Joe Pesci as the Mob's nastiest hitmen. By far the best of the recent gangster cycle, this is a truly dazzling slab of filmmaking in which the pops of the period make just the right musical comment on the attitudes and aspirations of these immoral and violent denizens of Mean Streets.
