Synopsis:

Our CHRISTMAS SPECIAL tells engagingly of young Ralphie's quest to ensure that Santa Claus brings him the 'Red Ryder' rifle Which he wants more than anything else. Undeservedly overshadowed on its release by 'Ghostbusters' and 'Gremlins' whose mischievous black humour it shares Bob Clark's nostalgic mock epic, adapted from Jean Shepherd's "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash", should go down a treat with the mince pies !
